Hôtel Marinca & Spa

The hotel is beautiful, from the lobby to the rooms to the restaurants. (I did have a bit of a laugh at the room, though - although we enjoyed it very much, some of the design touches were a little cheesy, but not bad per se, just a little funny). The beach is MAGNIFICENT! Gorgeous, clear turquoise water and several coves and rocky outcrops to give it character. Very friendly staff - hats of to Liam, one of the valets. Breakfast was beautifully presented with lots of choices. There are three small pools on various terraces - can't say it was my favorite layout and one of the pools was so small and shallow that it must have been for babies. But we were able to enjoy them nonetheless. Only disappointment was the gym, which was very small, lacking in equipment and a bit dirty. Also, it's right next to the spa but doesn't have any rubber mats or acoustic ceiling tiles or even a door, so the smallest bit of noise results in the spa personnel running in to make sure the sound stops immediately so their spa guests don't have the slightest bit of noise during their treatment. This was a bit frustrating, and I would have taken my workout to the lawn, but the lawns are in the sun and are on slopes, so that wasn't a feasible solution. Otherwise, an enjoyable hotel that we were glad to have experienced.

Spa and food! This Clarins spa is not to be missed. The combination of sauna, steam room, ice room, aromatherapy rain shower, pool out of the sun, and wonderful selection of spa treatments makes this a must do during your stay. The spa is outfitted with lovely recliners, private shower rooms, and the fluffiest robes you’ve ever seen.
